The shrimp hatch after just 24–72 hours at the correct temperature. However, some species take a little longer – which ensures a particularly varied observation period in the aquarium.

Primeval shrimp are small, resilient crustaceans that live in various waters, including temporary puddles or ponds. They are known for their eggs being able to survive in extreme conditions by going into a dormant state and remaining in dryness for long periods. As soon as they come into contact with water again, they hatch and begin to live. Primeval shrimp are usually a few centimeters long and move through the water with small legs. They are a fascinating example of adaptability.
