Which Triops Are Suitable for Beginners?

Beginners should start with a small breeding tank and follow the instructions carefully. Especially in the first few days, the tiny young animals need very little food. Too much food can worsen water quality and jeopardize breeding success.

Breeding Tadpole Shrimp – How to Start

To breed tadpole shrimp, first, add the appropriate water to a clean breeding tank. Then, add the egg-sand mixture. A lamp provides sufficient light and can also help achieve the required temperature.

Under suitable conditions, the first Triops can hatch after about 24 to 48 hours. However, hatching sometimes takes longer. In the first few days, feeding should be very sparse, and the water should be observed carefully.
